Pastor Jimmy Odukoya has officially introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to members of The Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, following their marriage.
The cleric made the announcement during the church’s Sunday service on November 1, 2026, at its headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State, bringing an end to days of speculation surrounding his marital status.
Odukoya, who is the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, presented his wife to the congregation, describing her as the woman with whom he would now share his journey in marriage and ministry.
The introduction was greeted with excitement and applause from church members as the couple appeared before the congregation.
Speaking during the service, the Pastor explained that he had spent considerable time navigating life and his pastoral responsibilities without a wife since assuming leadership of the Church.
According to him, he eventually began searching for a suitable partner and was delighted to have found someone with whom he could share his life.
Making reference to the biblical account of Adam and Eve, Odukoya recalled the scriptural teaching that it was not good for man to be alone.
He said: “Ever since I became your Pastor, I have been doing this walk of life alone. The Bible said it is not good. I was looking and searching, and I found.”
The Cleric also acknowledged the curiosity generated by his recent social media activity, particularly a photograph that showed two hands wearing wedding rings.
Explaining the significance of the picture, he told members that it was not an artwork, as some had initially suggested, but a photograph confirming his marriage.
He subsequently invited his wife to join him, formally presenting her as Pastor Mrs. Mo Odukoya and introducing her as the church’s new First Lady.
The announcement marked the first time the Pastor publicly presented his new wife to members of his congregation.
Social Media Post Sparked Marriage Speculation
The formal introduction followed a social media post by Odukoya that had generated considerable attention among his followers.
Days before the church announcement, the Pastor shared a photograph showing two hands, both wearing wedding rings, accompanied by the caption, “To New Beginnings.”
Although the post did not initially provide details about the identity of the woman or the nature of the occasion, it prompted speculation about whether the Cleric had remarried.
Several social media users interpreted the photograph as an indication that he had found love again, with some already sending congratulatory messages.
However, Odukoya did not immediately provide further clarification, leaving followers curious about the development.
His announcement during Sunday’s service eventually confirmed the speculation, as he introduced Mo to the congregation and openly acknowledged her as his wife.
Pastor Tunde Bakare Blesses The Union
Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church, was also present during the occasion.
Bakare, who reportedly officiated the marriage blessing in the United States, joined the couple during the church service and offered prayers for their marriage.
He also provided information about the bride’s family background, disclosing that Mo is the daughter of Reverend Theophilus and Bolaji Daniel.
Following the introduction, the couple knelt before Bakare as he pronounced blessings over their union.
The senior cleric prayed for God’s guidance, protection and strength upon their marriage, asking that their home would become a place of peace, love and stability.
He also prayed for the continued growth of The Fountain of Life Church, committing its leadership and activities into God’s hands.
The prayers formed part of the public celebration of the couple’s marriage, which was witnessed by members of the congregation.
Jimmy Odukoya’s Previous Marriage
The latest development marks another chapter in the personal life of the Pastor, who was previously married to Oluwakemi Banjoko, popularly known as Kemi Odukoya.
The former couple got married in London in March 2013, and their union produced two children.
However, the marriage eventually ended, although neither party has publicly provided comprehensive details about the circumstances surrounding their separation.
Odukoya subsequently continued his pastoral responsibilities while raising his children and leading the church.
His decision to remarry has now attracted public attention, particularly because of his position as the head of one of Nigeria’s prominent Christian congregations.
From Nollywood To Church Leadership
Beyond his responsibilities as a pastor, Jimmy Odukoya is also recognised for his involvement in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
He has built a career as an actor and is known internationally for portraying Oba Ade in the 2022 Hollywood historical drama, The Woman King, which featured American actress, Viola Davis.
He is the son of the late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya and Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, who were prominent Christian ministers and founders of The Fountain of Life Church.
Following the death of his father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, on August 7, 2023, Jimmy assumed leadership of the church, continuing the ministry established by his parents.
Since taking over as senior pastor, he has remained active in church leadership while maintaining his involvement in the entertainment industry.
His marriage introduction on Sunday has therefore generated interest among both members of the Christian community and followers of his entertainment career.
