The President and Executive Producer of the All Africa Music Awards, Mr. Mike Dada, has penned a deeply moving tribute to his late wife, Modupe, as she would have marked her 50th birthday.

“When I had the conversation with you exactly 2 years ago on how you would like to celebrate your 50th birthday… little did I know that it would be your second posthumous birthday. God knows best,” he wrote.

Describing Modupe as “light in its purest form—steady, warm, and life-giving,” Dada praised her “quiet but unshakable compassion” and “genuine love that never asked for recognition.”
