Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has officially taken delivery of his customised Bugatti Chiron VXX, a one-of-one hypercar reportedly valued at about ₦9 billion.
The latest development came after the luxury vehicle was presented to the Afrobeats star in Lagos, with Dubai-based automotive customisation company, Venuum, sharing footage of the handover on social media.
The delivery has renewed attention around the highly customised Bugatti, which has been described by Venuum as a one-of-a-kind project created specifically for Burna Boy. The vehicle was transported to Nigeria after being unveiled earlier in the year and later displayed at the showroom of Abuja Car Limited.
According to reports, the Chiron was delivered to Lagos on Saturday, September 19, before the handover involving Burna Boy. Automotive publication AutoJosh reported that Abuja Car CEO, Sadiq Aminu, shared footage of the vehicle being delivered to the singer in Lagos.
Venuum also confirmed the latest development in a statement accompanying its video of the presentation.
The Dubai-based company described the vehicle as a unique creation made for the Nigerian music star and celebrated its journey from Dubai to Lagos.
“Today, Lagos welcomes something truly unique,” Venuum said in the statement accompanying the footage.
The company added that it was proud to see Burna Boy receive his one-of-one Bugatti Chiron VXX, describing the car as a creation designed to stand apart through its character, presence and distinctive identity.
The statement ended with a message welcoming the singer to what the company called the “VXX experience.”
What Makes Burna Boy’s Bugatti Unique?
Unlike a standard Bugatti Chiron, Burna Boy’s vehicle underwent extensive customisation by Venuum.
The exterior features a French Racing Blue front section, while the iconic Bugatti horseshoe grille carries a prominent yellow number seven. A central racing stripe in the colours of the French flag also runs through the bodywork, giving the hypercar a distinctive appearance.
The interior was equally customised.
The car comes with blue sport seats finished with yellow contrast stitching, alongside gold-threaded detailing that further distinguishes the cabin from a conventional Chiron.
Earlier reports also showed additional bespoke touches, including Burna Boy branding on the vehicle’s large carbon-fibre rear wing. The project was presented by Venuum as a widebody conversion, with the company claiming it was the first widebody Bugatti Chiron of its kind.
The car is based on the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport and is powered by an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine. Reports on the customised model have put its output at about 1,500 horsepower, with a claimed top speed of approximately 261 mph.
Venuum Announced Project In May
Burna Boy’s association with the Venuum Chiron did not begin with the latest delivery.
In May 2026, Venuum announced that it was working on what it described as the world’s first widebody Bugatti Chiron. The company said the one-off project was being created for a special member of the Venuum family who was achieving major success globally, identifying Burna Boy as the owner.
The announcement followed comments from Burna Boy indicating his desire for a highly personalised Bugatti.
The singer had previously spoken about wanting a “Bugatti Venuum Chiron” and described his preference for a one-of-one model with highly distinctive details.
Venuum subsequently unveiled the completed vehicle in July, with reports describing it as a bespoke Chiron VXX Special Edition.
Bugatti Arrives In Nigeria
The vehicle’s presence in Nigeria also generated significant attention before Burna Boy eventually took delivery of it.
In July, Abuja Car Limited announced that the customised Bugatti had arrived at its showroom. The dealership attached a reported ₦9 billion valuation to the vehicle and promoted it as one of the most expensive cars in the region.
However, the reported ₦9 billion figure should be treated as an estimated or reported value rather than a confirmed purchase price. It was reported that the valuation had been cited by Abuja Car, but that the exact amount paid for the vehicle had not been independently confirmed.
That distinction is important because the final cost of a highly customised hypercar can vary significantly depending on the base vehicle, modifications, taxes, logistics and other associated charges.
Burna Boy’s Growing Luxury Car Collection
The Bugatti Chiron VXX is the latest high-end vehicle associated with Burna Boy, who has frequently displayed an interest in luxury and exotic automobiles.
His reported collection includes vehicles such as a Lamborghini Revuelto and a Rolls-Royce Spectre, adding the heavily customised Bugatti to an already notable garage.
The Chiron VXX, however, stands apart because of the extent of its bespoke modifications and its one-off status.
The development also comes at a significant point in Burna Boy’s career. The singer, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, has continued to maintain a major international profile following his Grammy success and his growing presence across global music markets.
The latest Bugatti delivery therefore combines two of the singer’s well-known interests: high-end automobiles and highly personalised luxury experiences.
For Venuum, the Lagos handover represents the completion of a project that began months earlier in Dubai. For Burna Boy, it marks the arrival of a highly customised Chiron that was conceived specifically around his identity and preferences.
With the vehicle now officially handed over in Lagos, attention is likely to remain on the unusual design, its reported multi-billion-naira value and the extensive work that transformed the Bugatti into the VXX Special Edition.
